Company Lancia plans to develop the new compact car which will take in a modelling number a place on a step below hatchback Delta, for the first time presented to general public in March of current year on motorshow in Geneva.
According to the head of the Italian mark Olivier Francois (Olivier Francois), the final decision in occasion of release of such machine for the present it is not accepted, and Lancia at present only studies an opportunity of realization of the similar project. In this connection the detailed information on the car, and also date of its possible debut are not known yet.

Under assumptions of some experts, new compact car Lancia will be constructed on slightly modernized platform Fiat Grande Punto, and many design features of the given model will repeat the similar decisions applied in hatchback Delta. In the event that to the project will give ” green light ” sales of novelty Lancia can reach 50 thousand copies a year.
